shipping and forwarding agent
An organization that specializes in the handling of goods sent by sea, air, rail, or road, especially if the goods are being exported or imported. They advise on the best method of transport, book freight, cover insurance, and arrange custom clearance at both ends, if necessary. They usually do all the required paperwork and documentation. They also arrange inland transport in the exporting or importing country, arranging factory-to-factory transport, if it is required.
